President's Welcome

A Message of Faith & Solidarity

Rooted in the proclamation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, โ€œMy soul magnifies the Lordโ€ (Luke 1:46), we are committed to magnifying God through lives of service, love, and sacrifice. In her humble response, โ€œBehold the handmaid of the Lordโ€ (Luke 1:38), we find our own calling โ€” to serve God faithfully, evangelize, strengthen families, and transform society through committed Christian living and purposeful leadership. CWON remains a living witness to Christโ€™s charge: โ€œYou are the light of the worldโ€ฆ let your light shineโ€ (Matthew 5:14โ€“16).

Welcome to the official digital home of the Catholic Women Organisation Nigeria (CWON) โ€” a vibrant community of faith, purpose, and transformative impact. CWON stands as the umbrella body of Catholic women in Nigeria, united in love, light, unity, and peace โ€” our timeless watchwords. Here, faith is deepened, leadership is nurtured, and service becomes mission. We are raising women who are, in the words of Scripture, โ€œclothed with strength and dignityโ€ (Proverbs 31:25) โ€” women equipped to lead with integrity, nurture with wisdom, and contribute meaningfully to national development. .

This website is more than a digital presence โ€” it is a gateway to our shared mission:

โ€ข To empower women through leadership development, mentorship, and economic initiatives

โ€ข To strengthen families, the bedrock of society, through faith formation and moral guidance

โ€ข To advocate for justice and dignity, especially for the vulnerable and underserved

โ€ข To deepen spiritual growth, fostering a living and active faith in every Catholic woman

As National President, my vision is to lead a CWON that is bold in faith, strategic in action, and inclusive in impact โ€” a movement where every woman is equipped to lead, every family is supported, and every community is touched by the light of Christ. Whether you are a long-standing member, a young woman seeking direction, a partner in development, or a visitor exploring our work, you are welcome. Here, you will find opportunities to connect, grow, serve, and make a difference.
